Build Muscle to Lose Fat

I wanted to share a simple concept with you about how to lose fat but from a different angle than running till you are blue in the face. Or to try and sell you on another fad diet that will have you drop weight just to quickly gain it back again.
Not to say that dieting won't help you lose weight but you really shouldn't diet. Instead you should look at you overall eating habits and understand what it is you need to change in order to have long term success.
Cardio as well can help you lose weight but it is only a short term fix. Not to mention you need to be running for hours to get the results you could with other methods.
Building muscle is one of the best ways to have long term fat loss. Muscle uses more calories than fat because it is active tissue. So by just having some extra muscle your body will burn more calories than it used to.
The best way is actually incorporate all three methods together. Since trying to build muscle without a proper eating habit won't get you very fat and having a good eating habit without being physically active will have about the same affect.

Combining the two will give you the best results. This way you will lose the most amount of fat and gain the most amount of muscle.
If you ever find you are confused about kind of foods you should be eating then stick to produce and meat. They will offer everything your body could ever need. Just remember to change things up every once in awhile so you and your body don't fall into a rut.
Now as for actual exercise there is quite a bit to choose from and not all are created equal. So how do you know what is best for you?
The easiest way to know is to try. Just understand that your whole body needs movement. It is designed that way. So feed it with movement. From you head right down to your toes. Make sure you get full use of your body and you will be rewarded greatly.
I'd also like to mention as a side note that flexibility is just as important as the actual workout. So don't forget to do it.
I like to do a quick full body stretch at the end of my workout. It is a nice way to bring your breathing and heart rate back down to a relaxed pace. Not to mention having greater flexibility will make your workouts easier.

As you will have great range of motion. Simply being able to touch your toes can help with your deadlift and being able to reach your hands overhead without and stiffness or pain will make shoulder presses easier.
This will in turn make your muscle building efforts easier. So remember the old saying you are what you eat. You could also add you are what you do too.
